Be-Leaf

Shalom Brothers (Shalom means peace). How are you guys and girls doing out there? For those who are in degree, I am guessing you guys are excited that next week will be your final class eh? I mean most of you. For those who are still in foundation, do not worry, you will have your turn in experiencing the ''beauty'' of short semester.

For this week in Christian Fellowship, we will be having a session on a rather interesting topic about prayer. Yes, we did talk about the relevance and importance of prayer for the past few weeks. But for this week, we will be showing you guys a video on how amazing and powerful prayer is, especially when we are now living in an ''unbalanced'' and corrupted world. Prayer is great, but how great is it?

Do find out this coming Friday, 8th October, 1230pm-2pm at C204, block C. Do remember to bring along new friends because we love meeting new friends, dont we? See you guys this Friday

Praying Mantis

Hey boys and girls, whats up? We hope you are having a wonderful week as you spend time studying or even hanging out with your friends in campus.

For this week, we will be focusing on issues such as relevance, habitual, attitude, prayer beyond request regarding prayer. Just like what we have learnt two weeks ago from our brother yew kong from FES regarding the importance of prayer, let us now learn further on what are the other issues regarding prayer that we need to take note of.

So do join us for another week of fellowship, singing praises and learning together in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ . Let us pray that we will continue to learn more and more about Him each week. Do bring your friends along, we would love to see new faces joining CF every week.

GreenHouse Effect

In the book of Leviticus, God commanded us in chapter 19v18 that we ought to love our neighbour as ourself. Have it ever crossed your mind what was God actually trying to impose on us? Before that, who are our so called neighbours? Are they the ones living next to our house or opposite our house? Or are neighbours people whom are around us?

What was Gods purpose in giving this commandment and what we as believers ought to do when we are reminded of this? Is it difficult to forgive and forget when someone hurts us or even dissapoints us? We are told to be like Him, and ought to live a life that is meaningful that gives glory to Him. And just how are we going to do that?

Do find out as we focus on our ''neighbours'' and how we ought to treat each other. Do not forget to bring your friends as well for a time of fellowship and learning together.

Soil-ution

Hey guys and girls, whats up? Hope that everything is fine with you people. Oh yeah, before that, Happy Malaysia Day.

Anyways, for this week we are having a very interesting topic in SOIL-UTION, which basically sounds like SOLUTION. Solution to what? Well, for this week, we are going to discuss on what are the solutions for us in keeping track with God through devotion, fellowship or even prayer.

Doing devotion daily is very important for us in ensuring that we are growing in Him. Doing devotion does not only helps you learn more about Him, but it also helps us in learning more about what are His plans or desires for us as we continue to walk the journey as a college student in UCSI.

So do join us this friday as we continue to learn more about His plans and wills for us. We will be having a speaker from outside to share with us regarding this topic. So what are you waiting for? Do not waste this oppurtunity and do invite your friends along. See ya!

Guard-ening

Hey people, Christian Fellowship is back once again for this last semester of 2010. Wow, time passes really fast huh? As we fast approach the end of the year, let us reflect and give thanks for all the wonderful blessings that God has given us.

We've got great programmes lined up for all of you out there this semester. We will have an awesome time learning with each other, having fellowship with each other and continue growing together in Christ.

The theme for this semester will still be R.O.F.L which stands for Rediscovering Our First Love. But for this semester, we will be focusing on another aspect of R.O.F.L which is how do we actually maintain or guard our relationship with God?

This weeks theme is called Guard-ening. You can't really find this word in the dictionary though. But if you read it properly, it sounds more like Gardening. This week you guys will be given a basics on how do we actually grow in our relationship with God.

So do come and kickstart this brand new semester with us. We are going to have fun, fellowship and most importantly getting to know more about God as we journey with him here in UCSI.

Prayer & Reflection

Do you believe our God is a Great God and can do mighty things through normal people like you and me in our campus? Have we forgotten how great His love is towards each and everyone of us?

Let's be reminded again and challenged as we take this time to pray, remembering even the upcoming CF Musical which is just around the corner. Even as this semester comes to a close, let's look back and reflect upon our walk with Him. As everyone is busy rushing for assignments and even preparing for the musical, let us never forget why we are doing it. May our hearts never miss God in everything we do.

What'cha doing?

How does it feel to know that you are being stalked or being watched 24/7? I am not talking about a stranger stalking you or some lunatic following you wherever you go. NO, I am talking about God, who is constanly 24/7 observing us in everyday of our lives. What we do, what we say, where we go are being observed by Him. He does not only stalks us, He protects and bless us as well.

It is written in the bible that God is omnipresent, which simply means He is everywhere. Would He be proud of what you are doing in your life? Are you living a good testimony to your friends and family, or are you straying away from Him?

So do find out what does it mean to have someone like God watching over us everyday in our lives. Let us find out if He is even proud of our actions, our testimony, and our example to people around us. What are you waiting for? Bring your friends along to this weeks session of What'cha Doing?

Burn Out

Sometimes we get ourself occupied with many things, our studies, our work, our friends, and sometimes, our ministry in serving God.

Honestly answer, what matters to you most?
Is that what God wants for you to do?
Does stopping for a moment mean you're not serving Him anymore?
Don't you feel tired?

Here are some of the things we would like to enlighten you about this Friday at CF. We'll have our very own drama team act out a short and simple skit entitled "Not For Your Desserts".

Curious? Come and find out more. We're sure you will enjoy yourselves. And just a simple reminder, do bring your friends along because we really want to know them.

See you there.

No Need, No Seek

Sometimes in life we do encounter difficulties, failures, dissapointments and many more stuffs that will hinder us. But do we ask ourselves that when everytime all these things happens to us, who would we normally turn to? Do we turn to our parents? Our best friends? Or we just keep them to ourselves and not letting everyone know what is happening to us. Well do you know that there is ALWAYS someone who listens to you regardless of what you are going to say?
Come to the Father
Though your gift is small,
Broken hearts, broken lives,
He will take them all.
Yes exactly, He is God, our Father who listens to us no matter what our problems are. He listens, and He helps us even in times when we least need Him.
So do join us this Friday to understand more about His love for us. But before that, we need to understand clearly, who is our first love?

Where Is The Love?

As you travel along your life-long journey, have you ever felt that sometimes you just don't feel God's love, as if He abandoned you or have forgotten about you? Well, to be exact, God never forgets about us, it's just that we are often too ''busy'' seeking for Him.

As mentioned in the Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.". What do you understand about this love of His, and how can we as His children get back to him after we have ignored Him or even forgotten about Him?

For this week, we will be having a speaker who is going to talk to us about losing our first love. Who is our first love you ask? Well, do come and find out this coming Friday.

"Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever."

i Connect

Have you ever wondered what was Jesus's purposes for coming down to earth? He came down to be born not in a palace nor a mansion but in a stable, a place where filthy animal lives. Since we know that He is God, why did He even bother to come and die for us when He already knew that He is going to be persecuted even to the point of death? Some said He was a doctor, some said He's a magician, some said He's a religious teacher. But who exactly is He to us? Come and find out this Friday what was Jesus' ministry while He was here on earth and how does it relates to us.

Pride And Prejudice

Basic RGB
We are all created equally by God. Separated to two genders, male and female. But what are we doing today? We are constantly comparing ourselves with others and think that we are better than them. We often judge people and forgetting that at the end of the day, God is the judge and He judges all through our actions.
As quoted by Ruth Fulton Benedict herself: “The peoples of the earth are one family.” All of us living in this world are considered a family. According to Barbara Bush, “To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there. ”

Therefore let us forget about each other's differences and live harmoniously in this world accepting each other's differences.

Terima Kasih

There are many different languages one can use to say ''Thank you'' to another person. For example we can use 谢谢(xie xie) which also means ''Thank You'' in Chinese or we can use merci which is also ''Thank You'' in French. But this week we will be focusing on using the Bahasa Malaysia version of ''Thank You'' which is ''Terima Kasih''. For those who were not with us during last weeks CF, the reason why this weeks theme is ''Terima Kasih'' is because we want to dedicate this very day to give a token of appreciation to the service staffs of UCSI. The ones who clean our toilets everyday, sweep the floors and even help us with our parking and many more. So thats why for this week we are going around our campus and surprise them with gifts! So do join us this week as we come together and tell them with a willing heart, ''Terima Kasih''.

Well, as the saying goes, the show must go on! We will continue to expect more in the weeks to come!

Well that's it for the recap of last week. Pictures time!
