Recycled Christmas Tree !

Hello all CF-ers !! Christmas is coming up in 2 months time ! Don't forget we have some special project going on ! Do you remember it ? Hahaha yesss, we are making a RECYCLED CHRISTMAS TREE !!

In the Student Center at Block A, there will be a BIG BLACK BOX there with the poster below. You are asked to please donate some used bottles and cans (plastic bottles and aluminium cans only) for this project. We are gonna build a 10-12 feet tree out of it ! So make sure you put in your fair share of effort to make this tree come true ! =)

Mission

Matthew 28: 16-20

Our last CF for the semester (since it is short sem) so hope to see all of you there one last time before our finals come and then it's break time ! We'll be touching on Mission this Friday, hopefully we can grow together. =)

Obedience

God has asked us to put down our burdens and follow him and be Christlike in his image. So are all of you willing to be just like Him? Come to CF this Friday as we invite a speaker to share on this topic to help us have a better understanding of it. Hope to see you there !

Prayer

Hello again everyone ! For those who went for the hiking activity last week, i hope you all had tons of fun climbing hills with other CF-ers ! As for those who didn't join in, i hope you had a good day off and had some good rest. =) This week, CF is back on with a new topic for the week, PRAYER. we'll be touching on how important prayer is to Jesus and the attitudes of prayer. Welcome Back !

Hello everyoneee !!! The new semester has finally started ! And with that, starts a whole new semester for the Chirstian Fellowship too ! Hope all of you did well in your finals and had a wonderful and fun holiday !! I know i did ! :D

So, this semester we will be keeping to the same Theme which is Personal Renewal In Christ Everyday (P.R.I.C.E.). But we will be going deeper and a little more intense compared to last semester. Don't freak out and stop coming to CF okay ! It's not that serious, we'll be having tons of fun ! =))

Anyways, for this upcoming Friday, we'll be touching on the topic of Worship. What do you really understand about the word WORSHIP ?? Is it just about playing instruments and singing praises to God ? Well, come to CF this Friday and we'll all find out together as an invited speaker shares his knowledge and understanding of the meaning of worship with all of us.

True and False Disciples

Prayer

Fasting

    ¹⁶ “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. ¹⁷But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, ¹⁸ so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Frenemy

Matthew 5:38-48

⁴³ You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor^[b] and hate your enemy.’ ⁴⁴ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, ⁴⁵ that you may be children of your Father in heaven.

No, i didn't know that such a word as "frenemy" even exists. But lets all learn together this coming Friday ! We are gonna have our very own CF member, Joseph, to lead us. So don't miss it ! See you there !

MOVIE NIGHT !!

Hey guys and girls ! Movie night is coming up this Friday (3rd June) ! Are you all excited ?? I am ! Even though i've watched it a few times before, but thats besides the point. MY POINT IS THAT "FREEDOM WRITERS" IS AN AWESOME AWESOME MOVIE ! So yes, you should definitely come watch it with us! And invite your friends along !

We have limited tickets of 200 given out at Block A Level 1 (cafeteria area). This is because the auditorium cannot accommodate too many people. But if you have a ticket, and you can't come on that day for certain reasons, please contact Andrew at 012-3452721 and let him know. Tickets are transferable, meaning you can give the ticket to someone else and that person can come for the movie in your place.

Movie Night starts from 7pm till 10pm at the Auditorium on Level 3, Block C. Oh by the way, for those who needs to earn ECA points, this is your chance ! The event gives you 8 ECA points. So don't miss out ! And see you all there !

Broke Promises



 Ever broken some promises ? I'm sure you have, but it is said in the bible; “Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.".

It is a matter of the choices you make; "All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.".

Don't worry, if you think that you're the only one who has ever broken promises, you're not ! Come to CF and listen to the sharing of His word ! Hope to see your faces on Friday !

Law and Anger

Matthew 5:17-26

"Do not think that i have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commandments will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For i tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Murder

"You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But i tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother, then come and offer your gift. Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny."

Holding a grudge towards a friend ? Always arguing with your family members ? Feeling unforgiving ?

Declaration Of Blessedness

Matthew 5 : 2- 11 

"...Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven , blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds evil against you falsely on my account..." 

Blessings are always good and indeed a joy to receive. 

We are constantly blessed with blessings and are often comfortable with what we have. 

We enjoy receiving blessings, but how much and how often do we bless others and those around us ?

Hey guys, what's up? Are you guys slowly adapting to your new busy schedule already or are you guy still thinking real hard on what subjects to take...like most of the students in UCSIU. Well, why not we Chill+Relax ( Chillax ) from all the busyness in arranging your timetable or even paying your school fees ( It's not that I am telling you not to pay school fees, just that...perhaps another time? What I am talking here....)

Christian Fellowship is not only fun but it is also an opportunity for us to get to meet new friends as well. Let us not forget that CF is also a place for us to learn and further our understandings and knowledge on the word of God, which is the Bible.
