Post Secrets RECAP

Yo peeps! This is my first time blogging here, and one of my very few times using blogspot to be honest, so please if you see any error in this post, do not blame me alright? I'm still learning...

... so anyways, last week's CF was a blast! We had around 50 of us in the same cabin/container/metal bin thingy, erected at the carpark area between block B and C.

Yes, last week's theme was 'Post Secrets', and what we did was we showed two videos, one made by our own CF people and one from this bunch of good looking girls and guys, on how we sometimes would want to reach out to our parents and our family members, but more often than not, we could not find the suitable time or the proper manner to express it to them. Even if we did, we would often be judged and brushed aside. 'Post Secrets' is actually a site or movement started by a group of people in the United States, for people, especially youngsters, with deep hidden secrets that would not normally be told or talked about as a casual topic.

We are not encouraging our CF members to share out their darkest secrets out in our previous meeting, but rather it was an opportunity for our members to express their feelings if they could, to their family members, to their loved ones.

As usual, CF started worship led by Nally and the worship team. The videos were then played to give the members an idea of what to expect from the session. As you see in the above pictures, the members were then given a small piece of colored paper, for them to write down their feelings and anxieties, so that it could be shown anonymously to others as well.

In the end, we should take light from the passage 1 Peter 5:5-7, which says:

5Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."
6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

We should always be reminded that our parents and family members' ways are always for our benefit, and at the same time, God's plan for our lives if not to harm us but to prosper us. We should be slow to anger, anxiety, pain, disappointment and all other negative and ill feelings, for if we submit to God and submit our burdens to God, He will life us up in the end.

Anyways, CF will resume this week as usual, on the 22nd of May. More details on the next post. For now, smiley and pictures time from last week's CF in our rockin' cabin/container/metal thing...

See you guys this coming Friday in CF!
